On Sunday the 18th of March 2018, my community on the Far South Coast of New South Wales was devastated by a bush fire, as it tore through the seaside town of Tathra. Many homes were destroyed.
I grew up not far from Tathra, and have many fond memories of time spent there. Endless days at the beach, hanging out with friends, fish and chips, going fishing and boating and swimming, and soaking up the sun.
To help the Tathra community rebuild, I have created a limited edition of 10 hand printed two colour screen prints of the iconic Tathra Wharf. This work was made in collaboration with my Mum, Far South Coast based artist Lauraine Parker, who so kindly provided me with the photograph used to create the print.
Prints are available in return for a $100.00 donation to the community of Tathra, made through the official Bega Valley Shire Council fire relief fund.
Please get in touch by email to firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to reserve a print, before making your donation. Prints can be delivered in the Canberra area, or I can arrange post elsewhere (postage fee applies).
Please note that I will require proof of donation before sending your print.
Financial donations are tax deductable and can be made via Bega Vallery Shire Council:
